Admission requirements
In order to apply for the Nordic Master programme in Environmental Engineering, you must fulfill a number of requirements.
The requirements apply to all applicants for the programme regardless of study track.
Degree Requirements:
In addition, a background in chemistry (a minimum of 5 ECTS) is required.
English language requirements:
When applying for admission, you must provide evidence of your academic achievements and proficiency in English. Certified photocopies of relevant documents must be enclosed with the application.
From Autumn 2018 the English requirements can be fulfilled by:
TOEFL:
Paper-based: 580 (written section grade 4.5)
Internet-based test: 92 (written section grade 22)
IELTS:
6.5, no section lower than 5.5 (only IELTS Academic Training accepted).
C1 Advanced / Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)
The language test must not be older than two years.
English language test exemptions:
1. Applicants who have citizenship or have completed a university degree instructed in English at a university that is physically located in one of the following countries:
- USA
- Canada (except Quebec)
- UK
- Ireland
- Australia
- New Zealand
2. Applicants who have completed at least a 3-year degree instructed in English in an EU/EEA country.
For Nordic citizens only: documentation from upper seconday school/high school that the English level is comparable with the English B - level in Denmark (see Skema til omreging af fagniveauer for nordiske eksaminer, see here), and include the school leaving certificate of your upper secondary education in your application package).
Ranking
All applications are academically evaluated by the consortium partner universities. For candidates fulfilling the above requirements, the ranking of students is done on the basis of student’s academic achievements. Admission is based on a joint decision by the admission board of the consortium.
